Douglas County Forest Products produces on average 215 million board feet annually in Kiln Dried Studs from Douglas Fir, Hemlock, White Fir, Lodge Pole (ESLP #2) and occasionally Ponderosa Pine (WW#2). Ledwidge Lumber produces quality SPF stud lumber at competitive prices for the global market. All of our round wood supply comes from within the Province of Nova Scotia. Our lumber is primarily sold in 8' lengths; we also produce 9', 7', and 6' lengths.

Matériaux Blanchet Inc. produces a full line of spruce-pine-fir (SPF) products in northeastern North America. Pleasant River Lumber adheres to a strict quality control program. We grade lumber to the North Eastern Lumber Manufacturer's Association (NELMA) grade rule in accordance with the American Lumber Standard (ALS). Each of our graders is NELMA certified and each piece of lumber is marked with a grader identification stamp enabling our quality control team to monitor individual grader quality.

Roseburg Landscape Timbers are produced from western softwood peeler cores (peeler core is the center portion of a log that remains after veneer is sliced from its perimeter) that are cut to a slab design for easy and stable landscaping.

SDS manufactures about 100 million board feet of premium quality lumber annually. We produce kiln dried 2×4, 2×6, and 4×4, all of which meet or exceed standards set by the Western Wood Products Association.

SDS’ sawmill uses small, high quality logs. Before logs are sawn, they are scanned three dimensionally and then positioned for optimum recovery. Once sawn, boards are automatically sorted according to size, species and moisture content before they are dried, planed, trimmed, packaged and finally loaded onto trucks and rail cars for shipment. We are constantly upgrading and improving our sawmill to keep pace with new advancements in technology. Waste recovery, fast production, and consistent quality are essential to staying competitive.
